This allows you to assign your own categories to all of your calendar items, as well as automatically assigning "date categories" to calendar items.
For example, you might categorise all of your "PTA events" separately from "Holiday Dates"
Calendar categorisation makes it much easier for visitors to find the information they are looking for quickly and easily.
